How the Graco Electric KING wins against conventional pneumatic sprayers

There are numerous ways that Graco’s KING electric airless sprayer is superior to conventional pneumatic sprayers.

It is significantly more efficient. An electric sprayer is up to eight times more efficient than a comparable air-driven unit. The bottom line is that an electric sprayer will consume only one-eighth of the electricity needed by an air-powered unit. That’s a significant reduction in your electricity bill!

KING also offers an overall lower cost of ownership than pneumatic airless sprayers. A spraying test was performed to get quantitative data on efficiency. KING faced off against a pneumatic airless sprayer. Pump pressure was 241 bar (3500 psi) for 20 hours a week, spraying 1226 liters (324 gallons) of 73% volume solids epoxy. The Electric KING sprayer reduced energy costs by 80% compared to the air-operated sprayer!

KING’s software minimizes pressure drop effects during change-over. This leads to a significantly smoother and more uniform spray pattern. It also reduces the pulsation transmitted to the painter, resulting in reduced operator fatigue.

Operator experience is also enhanced by the reduced noise levels of the electric motor. KING runs at 68 dBA; much lower than the OSHA hearing conservation threshold of 90 dBA. Operators can thus stay close to the unit for a longer time, which increases job productivity.

The operator can use a smaller and therefore less costly vehicle to transport the spraying equipment, as with KING he does not have to bring an air compressor. That’s just another way to reduce your financial investment.

Finally, KING is simply better for the environment. It consumes less electricity than a pneumatic sprayer, saving CO2 emissions, and avoids consumption of diesel by an air compressor. And its quiet operation creates a much more pleasant working environment.
