EVR Selector Guide

Electric variable ratio (EVR™) metering allows manufacturers to mix, meter and dispense two component (2K) sealants and adhesives with the same equipment.

Determine the right configuration for your material and production requirements in three steps.

These base systems are meant to cover the most common applications you may need. They include:

  1. The electric motors to power the system’s pumps
  2. The transformer if 480volt is needed
  3. The inlet and outlet fittings in Stainless Steel with pressure transducers
  4. The Communications Gateway Module (CGM) for either Ethernet/IP or PROFINET

Note: These base systems DO NOT include the Z-Pumps. These must be selected separately and installed after delivery.

Add Inlet Regulator Kit

Optional Feature.

It is recommended that you install regulators on the inlets of your Z-Pumps for consistent operation changing environments and material conditions.

Add G3 Grease Pump Kit

Optional Feature.

Z-Pump seals are designed to be greased regularly and with moisture-sensitive materials, it is especially important to keep them greased. To automate this process, order the G3 Grease pump for automatic maintenance.

The Z-Pumps selected will be the volumetric ratio but can be adjusted on the EVR with up to a 5:1 multiplier.

For example, if you select 40cc and 80cc pumps, this is a 2:1 ratio and you will then be able to run the machine from 1:1 up to 10:1. To achieve an even wider ratio, select pumps with a wider volumetric ratio.

To achieve a 50:1 ratio for boosted urethanes, use 160cc and 10cc pumps, then enter 3.13:1 on the display. 160/10 = 16:1 ratio x 3.13 = 50:1.

The dispensing valve you choose depends on your material and application needs.

A) The MD2 Valve is the most common offering for 2K sealants and adhesives with a single acting opening/closing and options for different ratio ranges, specialty coatings.

B) The TC Valve allows for 2K dispensing and individual control of each component, giving you the ability to do base purging of static mixers.

C) The MD-X Valve is the highest flowing 2K valve, capable of going above 75cc/sec in flow rate.

D) The Voltex Valve is for dynamic mixing of materials that require the added kinetic energy for proper reactions; most commonly found in foaming materials.

Some of the below accessories are required for certain valves while other optional accessories are used in complex applications and when dispensing difficult materials.

A) MD2 valve for static mixing and recirculation as an option.

The recirculation kits are most often used when there are suspended fillers in a low-viscosity material, and by recirculating, you keep these fillers from settling out of the material.
